Submission Deadline: October 15, 2012
The Community College Interest Group invites submissions for the 104thannual convention of the Eastern Communication Association to be held at the Omni William Penn Hotel in Pittsburgh, PA, April 24-28, 2013. The convention theme is “Confluence.” Drawn from the confluence of where the Allegheny and Monongahela Rivers form the Ohio River, our First Vice President and convention planner, DanetteIfert Johnson, explains that the convention theme is “exemplified by the long tradition of communication research bringing together ideas from various perspectives of communicator, message, channel, and context to better understand how humans create meaning and relationships.”The convention theme allows us an exciting opportunity to come together to explore how our various interests as communication scholars intersect one with another. We encourage submissions to embrace a variety of perspectives, theories, and applications as well as to reach out to colleagues in other interest groups and institutions to consider ways of celebrating the convergence of our work.
Keeping the convention theme of “Confluence” in mind, please submit your work using the following guidelines:
For program/panel submissions
