ECA - Taylor & Francis Response to COVID-19
Dear ECA Members,
I am hopeful that you, your families and students are well and safe during these difficult times. This message is to inform you about a disruption to the printing of ECA journals by Taylor & Francis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic: Communication Research Reports, Qualitative Research Reports in Communication and Communication Quarterly.
Taylor & Francis will suspend printing of journals on April 10, 2020 until further notice because of a disruption to the supply chain. According to Taylor & Francis, as of the first week of April, 42 countries have stopped accepting inward deliveries and many institutions are either closed or no longer accepting mail. Many airmail services in and out of Taylor & Francis’ major hubs in the UK, US and Singapore are no longer operating due to reduced air freight capacity.
The good news is that you will continue to be able to access ECA journal content online. Our journals will continue to be published online according to their normal publication schedule on the journal’s online platform, Taylor & Francis Online. ECA members have access to the journals via the Members area of our website.
Taylor & Francis plans to resume printing in May and then you will receive the print issues that would have been mailed during the period when printing was suspended.
Taylor & Francis has provided FAQs and will continue to update us on this situation as necessary.
