Hi everyone!

Zach Carr here, program planner for the 2020 year. Very excited to see you all in Baltimore. The call for submissions is shown below. This year's ECA has many wonderful opportunities to take part in so please be sure to do so. I would also love to hold a Nonverbal Interest Group social hour, so please be on the lookout for details on that.

Best wishes to all and if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out.

Best,
Zach Carr

The Nonverbal Communication Interest Group is requesting paper and panel submissions for the 111th Annual ECA Convention in Baltimore, Maryland. The convention theme, Harboring Innovation, is centered on how we, as communication scholars, have innovated and how we need to innovate to remain consistently relevant, cutting-edge, and unique. In what ways does our scholarship and teaching keep the field at the forefront of studying the powerful impact of public, private, and mediated messages on our relationships, organizations, communities, and the environment? What disruptions are communication scholars, practitioners, and teachers responding to with innovative theories, questions, methods, data analysis techniques, and practices? What opportunities exist for us to innovate with our research, service, pedagogy, and practice? What are you doing that is unique? How are you leading the way? How are you responding to your environment to ensure that your work and our field are addressing those practical communication concerns of society that exist today and may arise tomorrow? We strongly encourage any scholar to submit their scholarhip as it relates to these questions and topics within the field of nonverbal communication.

ECA will again be using Attendee Interactive to manage submissions and reviews. All submissions should be uploaded through Attendee Interactive at the following site: https://ww4.aievolution.com/eca2001/index.cfm.
