ECA 2019 Convention - An Evening with Lizzie Borden

Thursday, April 11: An Evening with Lizzie Borden

Museum Ticket and Transportation: $49.00

On August 4, 1892, Andrew and Abby Borden were brutally murdered in their home in Fall River, MA. Lizzie Borden, Andrew Borden’s 32-year-old daughter, was officially charged with the murder of her father and stepmother. Lizzie Borden was acquitted of the charges, but many still believe she got away with murder.

Plan to attend author and former homicide detective Annette Holba’s presentation Lizzie Borden took an Axe…or did she? (Thursday, April 11 at noon (in the Kent room) as she provides facts that are often left out, ignored, and unsaid by those who believe Lizzie to be guilty.

Following the presentation, we will leave the Omni Providence at 4:30 to take a short ride to the scene of the crime, the Lizzie Borden House, in Fall River, MA beginning at 5:15. The home has been restored to its Victorian heritage and is now a Bed and Breakfast, which has been featured on numerous talk shows and highlighted in many documentaries in the annals of American crime and history."
