HI ECA Authors,
If you are an ECA member and an author, this message if for you! As we begin last minute preparations for Providence, we are starting now to organize a silent book auction that we hope will bring more convention participants into the exhibit area. Please consider donating one of your books (or more than one!) to the auction. The proceeds will go toward student scholarships.
Please send me an email and let me know if you will be donating a book or books for the auction and I will make sure to connect with you as you are setting up for the convention opening. We will designate a dropping off point near the convention registration desk. I would like to have a prepared list of books prior to the convention so that we can advertise the auction prior to the convention as well as be prepared and organized for displaying the books and begin the bidding process. We will have a student assigned to the book table to ensure the integrity of the auction process. The auction will open the first day of the exhibits and run concurrently with exhibit hours.
Point of clarification regarding the silent book auction donations from ECA authors, we are looking for donations of monographs (not textbooks).
