A Long Lasting Impact
The ECA Executive Council voted in 2014 to establish an endowment in support of the James C. McCroskey and Virginia P. Richmond Undergraduate Scholars Conference to honor their previous contributions to the association. ECA has made a substantial contribution of $150,000 to establish the foundation of the trust, which begins to show our belief in student scholars. But we are on a quest to do so much more.
In 2015, then ECA President Tom Flynn hosted an informal fundraising reception on the last night of the 2015 ECA Convention in Philadelphia. His aim was to begin a legacy of giving amongst ECA members, in support of the future of ECA…the students who participate in the Undergraduate Scholars Conference. The reception was a huge success, with those in attendance pledging over $2,500! We hope to continue this successful venture by asking friends of ECA and those dedicated to student research success to join us in contributions to the USC Fund.
