With technologies constantly changing, it can be difficult for universities to understand how to navigate social media platforms in order to best meet department objectives and needs. This course will: provide an overview of the current digital landscape, detail how major social media platforms work, explore new media business models and theoretical strategies for creating message, and present specific academic campaigns. By the end of the course, participants should be able to effectively construct social media messages to meet individual departmental objectives.
